The 1970 World Cup was held in Mexico between the 31st May and the 21st June, becoming the first iteration of the competition to beheld in North America outside of both Europe and South America. The tournament was the first to be broadcast in colour, with Brazil claiming a third title after defeating Italy 4-1 in the final.
