Stadium Guide

The stadium located within Panjin Olympic Sports Centre was constructed in 2013 in order to serve as a secondary venue for the 12th National Games of the People’s Republic of China. The primary venue of the competition was located back in Shenyang which was elected as the host city, and was a larger 60,000 capacity stadium.

Taking just over two years to build, construction began back in 2011 and the design is very similar to other municipally owned stadiums across China. Envisioned as a multi-purpose recreational centre for the local city, the grass pitch is surrounded by an athletics track to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to sports.

Currently home to Liaoning Whowin F.C, the highest level of football held at the stadium to date is the Chinese Super League which is the highest tier of the football pyramid. Liaoning have yet to qualify for the AFC Champions League which currently represents the pinnacle of Asian Football.
