Inter Milan Champions League Winners 2010

Last year was a semi-historic season for Serie A, in that it was the first time in almost ten years that a team other than Juventus won the League. Ever since Conte led the boys in black and white to their first league victory since the Calciopoli scandal, no one could stand up to both the football/commercial force that is Juve. However, Inter Milan managed to break the gridlock and win the 20/21 season, while Juventus could only manage a 4th place finish.

Inter Milan

The current champions of Serie A, this immediately puts them in contention for the title next season. But Inter’s financial woes are common knowledge now, so hopefully, they’ll be able to keep hold of the title-winning squad. Inter also have one of the best Italian managers around joining them, Simeone Inzaghi, so it will be interesting to see what impact the Coppa Italia winning manager can make to the Nerazzurri.

Juventus

On paper, they should have stormed the League, with the living legend Cristiano Ronaldo on the books, as well as other world-class players. There’s no doubt the talent is there, but maybe 1 or 2 changes tactically or player-wise need to be made. And who better to make them than returning coach Allegri who never lost a league title with Juventus. With his 100% success rate with Juve, it wouldn’t be wise to bet against him, but if you wanted to you could choose from these offers on bets.

AC Milan

AC Milan has a great season finishing 2nd. If they’d been a little bit luckier in certain games, they might have won, but they lacked the extra bit of va va voom needed to win the Serie A title. However, things are looking bad for AC Milan as it’s rumoured Begovic, Kjaer, Biglia, Bonaventura and Donnarumma could all be leaving this summer, which will be a big blow. If they can rebuild, then they’ve got a great chance of winning the title again.

Atlanta

And the award for punching above their weight, also known as the Leicester City Award, goes to Atlanta. Ronaldo may have beaten Muriel in the Golden Boot, but Muriel’s Atlanta spanked Juve in the League. Gasperini and his boys did remarkably well and have been doing so for the last few seasons. If they can build on their success from last year, there’s no reason why they can’t go 2nd or even 1st as the bigger teams may be looking to rebuild. Could next season be the time for a Leicester style victory, who knows?

Roma

We can’t talk about league winners without talking about the special one himself, Jose Mourinho, who is joining Roma this summer. Who can forget his treble-winning season with Inter Milan over a decade ago. He’s certainly got the tactics to win the League and inherits a very strong Serie A team at Roma. He’ll need to have permission from the chairman to dip into the transfer market to strengthen in key areas
