G’uzor Stadium History
Since founding in 1994 G’uzor Stadium has been the only home of Uzbekistan Football side FC Shurtan Guzar.
Originally multi-purpose by design, G’uzor Stadium has since been converted to a dedicated football ground. The new grandstands largely sit on top of the athletics track, however you can still the remnants of the running track near to the touch line of the pitch.
In 2004 FC Shurtan Guzar were crowned Champions of the First Division, and subsequently earned promotion to the top-flight of Uzbekistan Football.
The G’uzor Stadium has since undergone renovation work in order to bring it up to the required quality of top-flight football stadiums in the country although it remains relatively small with a capacity of just 7,000.
