FIFA 16 New Stadium List

It’s that time of the year again where EA Sports promise lots of new innovations and gameplay features but faced with absolutely no commercial pressure,  end up rehashing the same well-worn wheel once again.

Yup, FIFA 16 is out on 22nd September 2015 and millions of football fans can’t wait.

If you’re not quite sold on this year’s version like myself then consider taking a look at this comprehensive list of stadiums featured in FIFA 16.

EA Sports have managed to add a whopping 9 ENTIRELY NEW STADIUMS to the game. Bravo boys, bravo…

Argentine Primera División

  • La Bombonera – Boca Juniors
  • El Monumental – River Plate [NEW]

Barclays Premier League

  • Anfield – Liverpool FC
  • Boleyn Ground – West Ham United
  • Britannia Stadium – Stoke City
  • Carrow Road – Norwich City [NEW] (Fair Enough, Carrow Road is alright)
  • Emirates Stadium – Arsenal
  • Etihad Stadium – Manchester City
  • Goodison Park – Everton
  • King Power Stadium – Leicester City
  • Liberty Stadium – Swansea City
  • Old Trafford – Manchester United
  • Selhurst Park – Crystal Palace
  • St. James’ Park – Newcastle United
  • St. Mary’s Stadium – Southampton
  • Stadium of Light – Sunderland
  • Stamford Bridge – Chelsea FC
  • The Hawthorns – West Bromwich Albion
  • Vicarage Road – Watford [NEW] (Fair Enough, good timing with the completion of the Elton John Stand)
  • Vitality Stadium – Bournemouth [NEW] (The smallest top-flight ground in the history of the Premier League? Almost worth it for that alone)
  • Villa Park – Aston Villa
  • White Hart Lane – Tottenham Hotspur

English Championship

  • Loftus Road – Queens Park Rangers
  • The KC Stadium – Hull City
  • Turf Moor – Burnley

English League Two:

  • Fratton Park – Portsmouth [NEW] (Nice inclusion in honour of Simon Humber who was the Creative Director of FIFA before sadly passing away this year. Let’s face it, Fratton Park is much better if not on par with 2-3 Premier League Grounds)

Bundesliga

  • Allianz Arena – Bayern München, TSV 1860 München
  • BORUSSIA-PARK – Borussia Mönchengladbach [NEW] (Makes sense, what with the team qualifying for the Champions League)
  • Volksparkstadion – Hamburger SV
  • Olympiastadion – Hertha BSC
  • Signal Iduna Park – Borussia Dortmund
  • Veltins-Arena – FC Schalke 04

Eredivisie:

  • Amsterdam ArenA – Ajax

International Grounds:

  • Wembley Stadium – England

La Liga

  • Camp Nou – FC Barcelona
  • Estadio Vicente Calderon – Atlético de Madrid
  • Mestalla – Valencia
  • Santiago Bernabéu – Real Madrid (Would have been cool to have Sevilla’s Stadium in honour of the 5 Champions League teams thing)

Liga MX:

  • Estadio Azteca – Club América

Ligue 1

  • Parc des Princes – Paris Saint-Germain
  • Stade Gerland – Olympique Lyonnais
  • Stade Vélodrome – Olympique de Marseille [NEW] (Sweet looking stadium, good timing ahead of EURO 2016)

Major League Soccer

  • BC Place Stadium – Vancouver Whitecaps
  • CenturyLink Field – Seattle Sounders FC [NEW] (Nice, but would have been cool to see some of the purpose-built MLS grounds included e.g Avaya Stadium, BBVA Compass, Stade Saputo etc)

Serie A

  • Juventus Stadium – Juventus
  • San Siro/Stadio Giuseppe Meazza – AC Milan, Inter
  • Stadio Olimpico – Lazio, Roma

Saudi Abdul Latif Jameel League

  • King Abdullah Sports City – Al-Ittihad & Al-Ahli [NEW] (Pretty snazzy stadium, suppose it does offer some diversity)
  • King Fahd International Stadium – Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Shabab

Rest of the World:

  • Donbass Arena – Shakhtar Donetsk (They don’t currently play here due to the conflict in the region…)

Let us know what stadiums you would have liked to have seen in the comments section below. We know that there’s a lot of “generic” grounds which generally do a decent job of mimicking stadia but you can’t beat the real deal.

Our top three most wanted are: Estadio Maracana, Columbus Crew Stadium and a partially built Stadio Friuli for good measure!
