Estadio Olímpico Patria is the home stadium of local sides Club Independiente Petrolero and more famously, Club Universitario. Built in 1992, with a capacity of 30,700 it is mainly used for football matches, most notable in 1997 when Patria hosted games of the Copa 1997 Copa América tournament.
